上周六稍晚，支持葉門政府的沙烏地主導聯軍發言人馬利基（Turki al-Maliki）在沙烏地媒體轉述的談話中指出，胡塞宣稱瞄準利雅德的說法是一種「誤導」。周日（4日）清晨，聯軍指出，其部隊在托爾巴哈（Tor al-Baha）前線與塔伊茲（Taiz）軸線，對胡塞增援部隊實施97次「精準瞄準行動」，動用戰機、無人機、火砲、飛彈與狙擊手。葉門政府軍發言人、上校納齊利（Majed Abdullah al-Nazili）表示，攻擊瞄準「至少260名胡塞戰鬥人員，並摧毀或癱瘓44輛軍用車輛」。

上月（9月）底，胡塞稱已攻擊沙烏地西岸紅海港市延布（Yanbu）的阿美設施。沙烏地當時說，攔截了6枚射向塔伊夫（Taif）與延布的彈道飛彈，並稱阿美場址沒有受損。稍早聯軍再稱，胡塞上周二（9月29日）攻擊了伊斯蘭聖城麥地那（Medina）一座發電廠。
自脆弱的2022年停火於7月瓦解後，戰鬥正快速加劇。9月中，胡塞奪下港市穆哈（Mocha），以及全球石油運輸要道曼德海峽的戰略島嶼，反胡塞部隊其後才穩住前線。戰鬥重啟以來，已有數十萬人流離失所。葉門自胡塞2014年攻占沙那（Sanaa）、迫使葉門政府退守亞丁（Aden）以來，一直處於戰爭狀態。
